Parties & Events: UNICEF Snowflake Ball Photos

UNICEF hosted their annual Snowflake Ball at Cipriani in New York Wednesday night. Guests and performers on hand for the evening included Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, Chrisette Michele, honoree L.A. Reid and wife Erica; Bryant and Hillary Gumbel, Maggie Betts, socialite Alicia Blythewood and others. The event is held to raise money to improve the lives of children worldwide.

Jewelry designer Geila Assefa (l) with fiance Wolfgang Puck and UNICEF President Caryl Stern. Not really feeling Geila's get up, but hey when you're rich you can do what you want, right? Not. I think a long black gown something in bright red or fuchsia would have been nice. And doesn't shee look a little like Desiree Rogers? 

Chef Marcus Samuelsson with his gorgeous model wife Maya. Her frock doesn't compliment her well but she's still lovely. Wish they would have coordinated outfits though.

Hillary Gumbel and Erica Reid. Hillary usually pulls of some nice looks but Erica gets more odd every time I see her. Hopefully she can pull it together, she looks much better when she goes for feminine looks. This fit is just all wrong.

Mariah Carey is always posing and arching her derriere. Okay M.C. we get it, you got back but can you just relax and smile normally for once? Or is there a such thing? Nick looks like...well Nick.
